How can it possibly be upside down? The strings are facing away from her and the head is pointed upwards. There is no way to orient an object so it can't be right side up with those features are accurate, the bass would have to be inverted.
The short side rests on your leg, so you have the lowest string on the top an the highest at the bottom. Scoots here is playing her guitar the wrong way. The strings would be upside down, not the guitar itself.
Unless Scootaloo plays her bass that way. I was taught from low on top, and every other bassist I know plays that way. But maybe it's different for cartoon ponies.
I have no idea why I keep seeing drawings of Scootaloo playing a bass guitar--and it's always a bass guitar; never an electric guitar, never an acoustic, always a bass. I might even need to check and see if people are even drawing the same sunburst pattern... Whatever the case, I don't care. Scootabass is an awesome combination, and you made it great here! Not sure about the guitar, but sometimes it takes an actual guitar player to get all daring with trying to incorporate perspective on the guitar or whatnot... just looks a bit flat here...could use some more frets, too (or was that to accommodate for the large hooves?)... but neither of those are any big deal. Great pic! Keep up the good work!
Well, I have seen some drawings of Applejack with an acoustic, and of Rainbow with an electric. To me it seems to be specifically Scootaloo and bass... I don't know if it's a trend or what, but I keep seeing drawings of Scootaloo with a bass guitar--and it's always a bass. I'm wondering if people might even be drawing it with the same sunburst pattern!
